In order to have a Short Term Accommodation aka an Air BnB or VRBO Investment property, you will need a licence from The Town of the Blue Mountain AND your property must fall into a specific pre-determined zone. Referencing the map to the right: those lands where an STA is listed as a permitted use on a property (any “RR” zone). You must complete the Pre-Screening Application found in the Application Guide and submit it to the STA Licensing Administrator for review, a $75 application fee applies. If you are approved, there are Licensing Fees. If you are not approved, there are appeal processes with the Town. A Short Term Accommodation is considered less than 30 days, so any home owner is able to rent their home for 30 days or more at a time.
